Elephants Share Human Compassion Traits And Other Similarities
This video showed an elephant sharing what we might call human compassion. It shows that animals do have distinct personality traits. Different species seem to exhibit this in a variety of ways, with some exhibiting the more “human like” traits than others.
Elephants resemble humans as far as their typical lifespan. They each have their own distinct personality, so even though these elephants are trying to help this little calf doesn’t mean the elephant down the road would. Isn’t that like us humans?
Elephants tend to congregate in family groups and are dedicated to looking out after each other. They feel happiness, sadness and anger. They even mourn for family members that have died. Researchers also tell us that they have incredible memories, likely better than the typical human.
They have been seen time and time again helping one another and showing genuine compassion. Studies have shown and you can see from the video, elephants have problem solving skills. In addition, they are typically non-aggressive, preferring to keep the peace rather than pick fights.
In many ways, as a whole, it seems like they might have it better together than our human society as a whole. Would you agree?
