The Bible Tells US That God Wants Us To Take Of Animals

It is clear in His word that God wants us to take care of animals.  He speaks of animals from Genesis to Revelation.  Their importance is clearly seen in a variety of ways.  When I was searching scripture to discover what God might say about our pets going to heaven when they pass, I learned a great deal about just how important animals are to God.   Their significance is far reaching in the progression of history.

Not only are we to take care of animals, but what a blessing animals can be to us.  Our pets often literally take care of our emotional health at times with their unconditional love and antics.  They can teach adults and children about unconditional love, which they may not have ever experienced from their human counterparts.

It tells us in Proverbs 12:10: “A righteous man cares for the needs of his animal.” Click To Tweet

Dr. Randy Alcorn speaks more about this in the video below.   He discusses what Scripture says about animals and our responsibility to care for them.
